Who am I?

I am an arboricultural consultant with ten years experience in the industry, half in the public sector as a tree officer and half in the private sector as a tree surgeon and surveyor. This means I have experience of both commercial tree work and how local authorities think. My formal qualifications are a Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture (Merrist Wood) and Lantra Professional Tree Inspection certificate.

How can you offer arboricultural advice cheaper than anyone else?

I don’t do site visits. I don’t write complex reports. I don’t have an office. I charge up front so that I never have to chase an invoice. I just provide the advice you need, with transparent pricing.

Legal Disclaimer

All advice given is at the client’s risk, and with the understanding that there are limitations to not seeing a tree in its location, including the possibility that I may be missing some key information by not visiting. It is important that I keep prices low by not doing site visits, but this means my advice may not be considered as valid if, for example, you end up in court. Sometimes you will want the expensive copper-bottomed option of a full arboricultural report from a standard arboricultural consultant. You can find a list of conventional consultants here.
